Welcome to the Lilla G. Frederick Pilot Middle School! We were recently named an Apple Distinguished School.
Our mission is to provide students in grades six through eight with a rigorous academic curriculum within a stimulating and nurturing environment. The school serves the whole child—mind, body and spirit—as well as families and the community in which the children reside. Inquiry, exploration, experience, connections and hands-on learning all facilitate and complement the core academic curricula and support the school’s vision of developing life-long learners.
The Frederick, with the tireless support of so many in the community, has taken the bold step of bringing cutting edge technology into the classroom in an effort to provide our students with the most comprehensive educational experience possible. Starting in 2007, all LGF students have had their own laptop for in school use.
Many in the community have worked incredibly hard to make this project come to life. We thank all those that continue to help as we move forward.
The Frederick recently celebrated the launch of our 1:1 Wireless Learning Initiatve. It was a wonderful event featuring student and staff showcases, classroom presentations, and guests that included Mayor Menino, Respresenative St. Fleur, and many more. |
